About establishment of the state reference systems and cartographical projections

According to the subitem 2) of article 12 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About geodesy, cartography and spatial data" the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan DECIDES:

1. Establish in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) state reference systems:

Kazakhstan terrestrial coordinate otschyotnaya basis of 2023 (Qazaqstan Terrestrial Reference Frame 2023, QazTRF-23) fixed by Items of Fundamental astronomo-geodetic network and Items of High-precision geodetic network;

Kazakhstan high-rise otschyotny basis (Qazaqstan Vertical Reference Frame, QazVRF);

2) cartographical projection:

Gauss-Krueger's projection on ellipsoid of the Geodetic reference system of 1980 (Geodetic Reference System 1980, GRS-80).

2. Declare invalid the order of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 28, 2002 No. 1403 "About establishment of single state systems of coordinates, heights, gravimetric and satellite measurements, and also large-scale number of the state topographic maps and plans".

3. This resolution becomes effective from the date of its signing.

Suspend Item 1 till January 1, 2025, having determined that during suspension this Item is effective in the following edition:

"Establish in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) state reference systems:

system of coordinates of 1942 (CK-42);

Baltic system of heights of 1977;

2) cartographical projection:

Gauss-Krueger's projection on Krassovsky's ellipsoid.".
