About gradual withdrawal from the cash address of banknotes nominals 5, 10, 20 and 100 hryvnias of samples of 2003-2007

According to Articles 6, of 7, of 15, of 33, of 34, of 39, of 40, 56 Laws of Ukraine "About the National Bank of Ukraine", for the purpose of improvement of cash calculations the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine decides:

1. To National Bank, banks on which the Board of the National Bank of Ukraine made the decision on provision of powers by it on stock holding of cash of the National Bank of Ukraine (further - authorized banks), to banks of Ukraine since January 01, 2023 to begin withdrawal from the cash address of banknotes with nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias of samples of 2003-2007 (further - banknotes nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias).

Banknotes nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias are in circulation before acceptance of separate board decision of the NBU about their withdrawal.

2. To the National Bank of Ukraine:

To stop 1) since January 01, 2023 reinforcement of operational cash desks of banks of Ukraine, inventories of cash of the National Bank of Ukraine stored in authorized banks and operational cash desks of banks from inventories of cash of the National Bank of Ukraine stored banknotes nominals 5, of 10, 20 and 100 hryvnias;

2) to provide acceptance from banks of Ukraine of banknotes with nominals 5, of 10, of 20 both 100 hryvnias complete and incomplete packs, and also transfer of the amounts of the accepted funds for correspondent accounts of banks.

3. To authorized banks to accept from banks of Ukraine banknotes nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias with transfer of the amounts of the accepted funds for correspondent accounts of banks and to put the specified banknotes in inventories of the National Bank of Ukraine complete packs.

4. To banks of Ukraine:

To forbid to issue 1) since January 01, 2023 from cash desk of banks of banknote nominals 5, of 10, 20 and 100 hryvnias by all types of cash transactions;

To perform 2) with banknotes nominals 5, of 10, 20 and 100 hryvnias only profitable transactions with legal entities and physical persons for transfer into accounts, deposits, letters of credit and for accomplishment of payment transactions;

3) to provide packaging and delivery in the National Bank of Ukraine and authorized banks of banknotes with nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias both complete, and incomplete packs in accordance with the established procedure;

To place 4) till January 01, 2023 in bank in foreseeable clients the place information on gradual withdrawal from the cash address of banknotes nominals 5, of 10, 20 and 100 hryvnias.

5. To department of communications (Galina Kalachova) to place information on gradual withdrawal from the cash address of banknotes nominals 5, of 10, of 20 and 100 hryvnias on the page of official Internet representative office of the National Bank of Ukraine and to provide informing the public through mass media.

6. To department of currency circulation (Victor Zayvenko) after official publication of this resolution to inform banks information on its acceptance.

7. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the vice-chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Alexey Shaban.

8. The resolution becomes effective from the date of, its official publication following behind day.
