About the level of interest rates of National Bank of Moldova and regulation of required reserves

No. 297-300, 544, with subsequent changes) and according to the Strategy of monetary management of National Bank of Moldova for the medium-term period approved by the Resolution of Administrative board of National Bank of Moldova No. 303 of December 27 2012, considering the Overview of inflation No. 3, 2020, the Executive committee of National Bank of Moldova DECIDES:

1. Reduce the basic rate applied on the main short-term transactions of monetary management by 0,25 of percent point, from % 3,25 to % per annum 3,0.

2. Change the following interest rates:

a) on the credits to reduce overnight by 0,75 of percent point, from % 6,25 to % per annum 5,5;

b) on deposits to increase overnight by 0,25 of percent point, from % 0,25 to % per annum 0,5.

3. Ceased to be valid according to the Resolution of National Bank of the Republic of Moldova of 05.03.2021 No. 37

4. Ceased to be valid according to the Resolution of National Bank of the Republic of Moldova of 09.09.2020 No. 202

5. From the date of entry into force of Item 3 of this resolution to declare invalid Item 3 of the Resolution of Executive committee of National Bank of Moldova No. 73 of 20.03.2020 about the level of interest rates of National Bank of Moldova and regulation of required reserves (Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova, 2020, No. 94-98 the Art. 353).

6. From the date of entry into force of item 4 of this resolution to declare invalid item 4 of the Resolution of Executive committee of National Bank of Moldova No. 73 of 20.03.2020 about the level of interest rates of National Bank of Moldova and regulation of required reserves (Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova, 2020, No. 94-98 the Art. 353).

7. This resolution becomes effective from the date of acceptance, except for Items 3 and 4, which become effective on August 16, 2020.

8. Publish this resolution in Monitorul Oficial al Republicii Moldova.
