About prolongation of effective period of warlike situation in Ukraine
Due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation continuing large-scale against Ukraine, based on the offer of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, according to Item 20 parts one of article 106 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "About legal regime of warlike situation" I decide:
1. In partial replacement of Article 1 of the Presidential decree of Ukraine of February 24, 2022 with No. 64/2022 "About introduction of warlike situation in Ukraine", No. 2102-IX approved by the Law of Ukraine of February 24, 2022 (with the changes made by the Decree of March 14, 2022 No. 133/2022, the approved Law of Ukraine of March 15, 2022 No. 2119-IX, the Decree of April 18, 2022 No. 259/2022, the approved Law of Ukraine of April 21, 2022 No. 2212-IX, and the Decree of May 17, 2022 No. 341/2022, the approved Law of Ukraine of May 22, 2022 No. 2263-IX) to extend the validity of warlike situation in Ukraine from 05 hours 30 minutes on August 23, 2022 for a period of 90 days.
2. To provide to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informing in accordance with the established procedure the UN Secretary General and officials of foreign states about prolongation of effective period of warlike situation in Ukraine, about restrictions of rights and freedoms of man and citizen which is variation from obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and about limits of these variations and the reasons of adoption of such decision.
3. This Decree becomes effective at the same time with entry into force of the Law of Ukraine "About approval of the Presidential decree of Ukraine "About prolongation of effective period of warlike situation in Ukraine".
