About approval of Traffic regulations
For the purpose of safety control of movement in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the prevention of the road accidents and carrying out in this sphere of single state policy, reduction of traffic regulations in compliance with requirements of the International convention about traffic, and also based on article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About traffic safety" the Cabinet of Ministers decides:
1. Approve Traffic regulations according to appendix and enact them since March 1, 2001.
2. To provide to the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reduction of the regulatory legal acts concerning traffic safety in compliance with the specified Rules.
3. To the ministries, the state committees, corporations, associations, concerns and other organizations and organizations, Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of areas and the city of Tashkent to determine actions for implementation of all works connected with change of the organization of traffic in connection with enforcement of Traffic regulations.
4. To the ministry of national education together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in three-months time to process and approve the program of teaching Traffic regulations to pupils of preschool institutions, pupils of schools.
5. State joint-stock corporation of road transport of Uzbekistan, institute Tashkent automobile road, the Ministry of national education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Central office, the organization of assistance to defense Vatanparvar together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs in three-months time to review training programs of training of drivers and increase in their qualification according to these Rules.
6. To national news agency, Broadcasting company and other mass media to perform broad promotion among the population of these Rules.
7. To the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan to perform the edition of Traffic regulations in a month.
8. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the Counselor of state of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. T. Kamilov and the Deputy prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. N. Isaev.

to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 11, 2000 No. 472
1.1. These rules of traffic (further - Rules) determine single procedure for traffic in the territory of the republic.
1.2. On roads of the Republic of Uzbekistan the right-hand procedure for movement of vehicles is established.
1.3. Participants of traffic shall know and observe the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About traffic safety", these rules and relevant requirements of signals of the traffic light, route signs provided in them (appendix No. 1), road marking (appendix No. 2), and also strictly to fulfill requirements of persons regulating traffic within the rights granted to them.
1.4. Participants of traffic shall not create danger to other participants of movement. Unauthorized legal entities and physical persons are forbidden to damage or contaminate road surfacing, to self-willedally remove, establish, block, damage route signs, traffic lights and other technical means of the organization of movement, to leave the objects creating hindrances for movement on the road.
Person who created hindrance to movement shall take all feasible measures for its fastest elimination and if it is impossible, then by all available means to inform participants of movement on danger and to report in militia.
1.5. Persons which violated these rules bear responsibility according to the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
