1. Diplomatic representations (embassies, permanent missions under the international organizations, missions) and consular establishments are bodies of external relations of the Republic of Belarus which represent the Republic of Belarus in the states of stay (the international organizations) and perform functions for the benefit of its foreign policy.
2. Diplomatic representations and consular establishments of the Republic of Belarus in the activities are guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, legislations of the Republic of Belarus and the state of stay, including this Provision.
3. Diplomatic representations and consular establishments of the Republic of Belarus submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
4. In civil and employment relationships in the territory of the state of stay diplomatic representations and consular establishments of the Republic of Belarus are effective as independent legal entities.
5. Diplomatic representations of the Republic of Belarus perform the following functions:
representation of the Republic of Belarus in the states of stay (the international organizations);
protection of interests of the Republic of Belarus and its citizens in the states of stay in the limits allowed by international law;
