Based on subitem 8.10 of Item 8 of the Regulations on National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus approved by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Belarus of August 26, 2008 No. 445, National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:

1. Approve the Method of calculation of average prices on consumer goods and the paid services rendered to the population for calculation of parity of purchasing power of Belarusian ruble it (is applied) and to enact it, since calculation of average prices on consumer goods and the paid services rendered to the population for calculation of parity of purchasing power of Belarusian ruble within cycle of the Global Program of the international comparisons on the basis of parity of purchasing power of currencies for 2024.

2. This resolution becomes effective after its official publication.

Method of calculation of average prices on consumer goods and the paid services rendered to the population for calculation of parity of purchasing power of Belarusian ruble

1. This Technique establishes procedure of payments bodies of the state statistics of average prices on consumer goods and the paid services rendered to the population for calculation of parity of purchasing power of Belarusian ruble (further - average prices on goods and services).

Parity of purchasing power of currencies one of the main indicators considering price levels and structure of economies of the different countries which is calculated following the results of cycle of the Global Program of the international comparisons on the basis of parity of the purchasing power of currencies uniting all countries of the world. Use of parity of purchasing power allows to convert cost statistics in national currency into common currency.

2. In this Technique the following main terms and their determinations are used:

the basic organization - representatively selected for selective state statistical observation of the prices of consumer goods and the paid services rendered to the population for calculation of parity of purchasing power of Belarusian ruble (further - selective observation) object in which registration of the prices is performed;

parity of purchasing power - the quantity of units of currency necessary for purchase of standard set of goods and services which can be purchased for one monetary unit of the basic country (or one unit of general currency of group of the countries). One of member countries of the Global Program of the international comparisons on the basis of parity of purchasing power of currencies to which national currency the parity of purchasing power of currencies is calculated can act as the basic country;

average price of goods (service) - average (arithmetic or geometrical) size from price levels of goods (services) - the representatives registered during certain period in the basic organizations;

goods (service) - the representative - the specific goods (service) relating to certain type of goods (service) which in limits of set of this type of goods (service) can differ in insignificant features (details) which are not influencing quality and the main consumer properties.

3. Calculation of average prices on goods and services is performed for May, February, August and November of year of carrying out selective observation.

4. The head statistical offices of areas and the city of Minsk calculate average prices on goods and services in the cities selected for selective observation and on area to the 25th following the period of registration of the prices.

The National Statistical Committee perfroms calculation of average prices on goods and services in the Republic of Belarus to the 30th following after month in which calculation of average prices on goods and services by the head statistical offices of areas and the city of Minsk is perfromed.

5. Calculation of average prices on goods and services is performed based on primary statistical data in form of the state statistical observation 6 prices (RT-goods) "Data on goods prices in objects of retail trade and the paid services rendered to the population" (Section III).

6. Calculation of average prices on goods and services includes determination of average price of goods (service) in certain territory (the city, the area, the republic).

7. Calculation of average price of goods (service) in the city is perfromed on formula
