1. General provisions

1.1. Designing, reconstruction and operation of cabins of operators of cranes shall be carried out according to these rules and "Rules for the Construction and Safe Operation of the hoisting cranes" approved by Gosgortekhnadzor, and also State standards.

1.2. Cabins of operators of cranes shall be delivered by manufacturing plants in a complex with means of ensuring of normal working conditions.

1.3. Depending on operating conditions of cabin of cranes are divided on opened and closed. Cabins are arranged closed in case of operation of cranes lasting more than 20% of working hours in change in zone of adverse conditions. Cabins of cranes of hot, by-product recovery or other departments with release of dust or harmful gases shall be pressurized.

1.4. The cabin of the crane shall be equipped:

a) the reliable sound alarm system which is well heard in the action area of the crane;

b) general illumination of all cabin and local for instrumentations and monitors;

c) dielectric rugs at least 500 in size? 700 mm, stacked in places for servicing of electric equipment;

d) chair with soft sitting, back, if necessary with armrests, system of vibration insulation; the chair shall have adjustment as in the horizontal, and vertical planes;

e) the first-aid kit of first aid, the thermoisolated tank for drinking water and hook for clothes.

1.5. Exterior finish of cabin and the crane shall correspond to "Instructions for designing of color finishing of interiors of factory buildings of industrial enterprises". Finishing of internal surfaces of the protecting designs shall allow their periodic cleaning.

1.6. Electric equipment of cabins which is source of heat releases (shops of resistance, actuators, etc.) shall be heat-insulated.

1.7. Vibrospeed levels on workplace of the crane operator shall not exceed the sizes provided by Sanitary standards of designing of industrial enterprises, and on handles of control of the capital and service equipment - the sizes provided for the vibration fluctuations which are transferred to hands working.

2. Requirements to the closed cabins of operators of cranes

2.1. The closed cabins of crane operators shall be equipped with the devices (fans, heating, conditioners, etc.) providing on permanent workplaces temperature, relative humidity and speeds of movement of air, and also content in air of hazardous substances, vapors, dust in the quantities which are not exceeding requirements of "Sanitary standards of designing of industrial enterprises".

2.2. Barriers of cabins depending on service conditions of cranes shall be teplozvukoizolirovana and are pressurized (internal excessive pressure - 2-3 mm in the station).

2.3. Conditioners depending on requirement shall be delivered with filters for purification of air of dust, aerosols, dioxides of SO 2 sulfur, hydrogen sulfide H 2 S, etc., and also for oxidation WITH in CO2. In the absence of conditioners of cabin shall be equipped with installations for purification of air.

2.4. Cabins shall be provided with supply of fresh air in the quantities regulated by "Health regulations of designing of industrial enterprises".

2.5. Noise level in cabin shall not exceed 80 dBA.

2.6. The area of glazing of cabin shall be the sufficient for providing the free overview zone serviced by the crane. It is necessary to provide possibility of purification of glasses both from within, and outside. The lower glasses shall have the protective lattices capable to sustain the weight of the crane operator and preventing fall of splinters. The glazing of cabins shall have sun-protection visors.

2.7. For ensuring temperature of internal surfaces of cabins no more than 35 ° in hot workshops with excessive radiation it is necessary to heat-insulate, shield carefully them by means of boards from materials with high reflective capability (aluminum, stainless steel).

2.8. Intensity of radiant flow through viewing glasses shall not exceed 300 kcal/sq.m hour. Shading of viewing glasses heat-insulating and double glazing shall be checked by lighting calculation.

2.9. The conditioners established together with cabins of cranes shall be also protected from radiant heat, vibration and other impacts.

2.10. Air from conditioners shall move in cabin so that the speed of movement it in cabin did not exceed the sizes normalized by health regulations.

2.11. For cabins of the cranes working in the open air it is necessary to provide the following events depending on the climatic area:

a) protection against overheat, cold and discomfortable humidity of air (air conditioning, heating, device of heat-shielding, visors, etc.);

b) "janitors" for purification of glass shall have observation ports, heating or having blown in it.

2.12. In the conditions of intensive noise the soundproofing characteristics of designs of cabin (walls, ceiling, windows) and the choice of materials for their production shall be checked by acoustic calculations.

2.13. Internal dimensions of the cabin without conditioners used in hot workshops for the purpose of ensuring due air exchange, speed of movement of air in cabin, conveniences of placement of monitors and sitting of the driver, shall correspond to the following optimum sizes: cabin height - m 2,0, cabin width - m 2,0, cabin depth - m 2,5, cabin amount - m3 10,0.

3. Requirements to open cabins of cranes

3.1. The cranes which are periodically working in case of impact of radiant heat and convection flows of hot air shall have screens, flaps, heatfilters, and barriers of cabin shall have sufficient isolation.

3.2. The cranes working in case of impact of intensive noise shall have the maximum area of shielding in design from arrangement of sources of noise.
