About the status of Batken Province

This Law determines the status of Batken Province of the Kyrgyz Republic, establishes features of the organization and activities of territorial subdivisions of state bodies and local government bodies.
Batken Province is the administrative and territorial unit of the Kyrgyz Republic combining the territories of the regional center - the city of Batken, the cities of regional value - Kyzyl-Kyya, Sulyukta, and also the Batken, Kadamzhaysky and Leyleksky districts in which public administration taking into account interests of local communities and competence of local government bodies is exercised.
The legal basis of the status of Batken Province is constituted by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, this Law, other regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic and the international agreements which became effective in the procedure established by the legislation which participant is the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the territory of Batken Province are established:
1) particular tax regime;
2) the particular investment regime providing the state guarantees from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic;
3) specific mode of implementation of public procurements of goods and services;
4) the particular preferential mode of provision of the state and municipal services to the population according to the list determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
