1. Approve Regulations on Government commission on gender equality it (is applied).
2. Declare invalid the Order of the Government No. 703 of July 26, 1999. "About approval of the Regulations on the Commission on problems of women" (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1999, Art. No. 83-86, 738).

1. Government commission on gender equality is created according to the Law on providing equal opportunities for women and men No. 5-XVI of February 9, 2006. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2006, Art. Government commission on gender equality (further - the Commission) is the advisory and coordinating body created for the purpose of providing strategic and organizational bases, and also tools and mechanisms of influence and realization of state policy regarding providing to women and men of the equal rights and opportunities.
2. The commission performs the activities according to the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, conventions and other international acts which the Republic of Moldova joined the national legal system in the field, other existing legal acts and this provision.
3. The staff of the Commission affirms the order of the Government. Representatives of the ministries, other central administrative authorities (at the level of the deputy minister/deputy director), National confederation of labor unions, National confederation of patronage, non-governmental organizations with activities in the field, the academic circle and mass media are part of the commission. Representatives of civil society, the academic circle and mass media are included the commissions according to its decision for year.
4. Main objectives of the commission are:
a) promotion of equality between men and women by implementation of integrated approach to national politicians and development plans;
b) support and coordination of activities of the bodies equipped with functions in the field of gender equality;
c) advancement of women and men in all spheres of life of society and provision to women of the social, economic and political status, equal with men.
5. The objectives of the commission will be achieved by coordination of activities of the central industry bodies of public management and bodies of local public authority, cooperation of government institutions with the non-governmental and international organizations, the academic circle and mass media.
5-1. The commission carries out the following obligations:
a) coordinates activities of government institutions in the field, controls respect for the principle of equal opportunities between women and men according to international standards in the field;
b) the politician and special programs of promotion of the principle of equality between women and men develops recommendations for the central industry bodies of public management and bodies of local public authority about implementation;
c) gives assessment to extent of application and compliance with law in the field at the central and local levels;
d) promotes upgrade of legislative and institutional base by their reduction in compliance with international standards for providing equal opportunities for women and men;
e) according to indicators of human development, and also with the Millennium development goals in the Republic of Moldova, national and sectoral strategy and plans promotes development of gender statistics, carrying out researches, the comprehensive analysis and studying of aspects of equality and justice between women and men;
f) studies reports on implementation of policy of equal opportunities between women and men in different spheres of activity;
g) promotes understanding by women and men, and also society in general of need of exception of all forms of gender discrimination, including violence for family, advances positive models which reflect role and the place of the woman and man in society proceeding from democratic values;
h) conducts work on exception at all levels and from all forms of education, training and informing gender stereotypes of role of the man and woman in society, including in family;
i) offers and encourages the actions stimulating more complete involvement of women in economic, political and cultural life as active decisive factors, participants and users;
j) informs the public on development of the situation on respect for the principle of gender equality;
k) makes experience exchange and information concerning the actions performed by the commission in this sphere;
l) provides open entry to information relating to activities of the commission;
m) cooperates with the non-governmental and international organizations concerning implementation of the principle of equal opportunities for women and men according to international standards in the field.
6. For achievement of effective objectives the Commission is allocated with the following rights:
demand submission of necessary information from government institutions, organizations, the organizations and the companies of any pattern of ownership, from non-governmental and public organizations, and also carrying out by the ministries and other structures of periodic analyses of respect for the principle of equality between women and men;
get acquainted with activities of specialized bodies of the central and local public authority, other organizations, organizations, state and private enterprises for promotion and implementation of the principle of equality of women and men;
