RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF NATIONAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

of June 22, 2021 No. 176

About establishment of the official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies

Based on the paragraph of the twelfth of Article 26 and part one of article 39 of the Bank code of the Republic of Belarus the Board of National Bank of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:

1. The official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to US dollar, euro and Russian ruble are established according to the exchange biddings in the mode of the biddings with establishment of fixing or as the weighted average rates according to the transactions made at the exchange auction in the mode of continuous double auction held by Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange open joint stock company on US dollar, euro and Russian ruble.

In case of lack during trading of transactions with US dollar, and (or) euro, and (or) Russian ruble the official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to these currencies are calculated and established based on information on their quotations in the international financial markets.

The official rates of Belarusian ruble to other foreign currencies are determined based on US dollar cross-rates to these currencies.

US dollar cross-rates to foreign currencies are calculated with use of information of the Refinitiv or Blumberg agencies or data represented by Central Banks of the states to National Bank.

2. The official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies are established without obligation of National Bank to buy or sell the quoted foreign currencies on these rates.

3. By results of the auction held by Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange open joint stock company in day of tendering the National Bank establishes the daily official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies according to appendix 1.

Till January 1, 2022 the specified official rates become effective from the next calendar day and are effective before entry into force of the following official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to these foreign currencies.

After January 1, 2022 the specified official rates become effective from next working day * and are effective before entry into force of the following official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to these foreign currencies.

* The working days are understood as days which according to the legislation are not the days off, the public holidays and holidays established and announced by the President of the Republic of Belarus non-working.

4. By results of the last biddings of month which are carried out by Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange open joint stock company the National Bank in addition establishes the monthly official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies according to appendix 2.

Till January 1, 2022 the specified official rates become effective from the 1st day of the next month and are effective before entry into force of the following official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to these foreign currencies.

After January 1, 2022 the specified official rates become effective from first working day of the next month and are effective before entry into force of the following official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to these foreign currencies.

5. The official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies are established to within four signs after comma.

Information on the official rates of Belarusian ruble in relation to foreign currencies in day of their establishment is posted on the official site of National Bank on the global computer Internet (www.nbrb.by).

6. This resolution becomes effective since July 9, 2021.
