About modification and amendments in the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Armenia

Article 1. In Article 6 of the Code of penal procedure of the Republic of Armenia of July 1, 1998 (further - the Code):

Shall be replaced with words 1) in Item 25 of the word of "Special investigative service" "Anti-corruption committee";

Shall be replaced with words 2) in Item 26 of the word "chief of Special investigative service and his deputies" "the chairman of Anti-corruption committee and its deputies", and words of "Special investigative service" - words of "Anti-corruption committee";

3) Item 26.1 after the words "in the Investigative Committee" to add with the words "in Anti-corruption committee";

4) Item 26.2 after words of "customs authorities" to add with words of "Anti-corruption committee".

Article 2. To state the second paragraph of item 4 of part 2 of article 53 of the Code in the following edition:

"Investigators of Anti-corruption committee can be involved only in the investigation teams created for investigation of the criminal cases subordinated to this body;".

Article 3. To add article 56 of the Code with Item 9 of the following content:

"9) Anti-corruption committee - on the cases submitted by the law to its competence.".

Article 4. In article 189 of the Code of the word of "Special investigative service" shall be replaced with words "Anti-corruption committee".

Article 5. In article 190 of the Code:

Part 1 after number "336," to add 1) with numbers "338.1, 338.2, 338.3", after number "341.1" - numbers "342.1", "342.2", and after the words "investigators of the Investigative Committee" - words "(except as specified, provided by part 5.1 of this Article)";
