Procedure for rendering free medical care from subjects of private medical activities to persons needing emergency medical service

1. The procedure for rendering free medical care from subjects of private medical activities to persons needing emergency medical service (further - procedure) governs the relations on rendering free medical care to persons needing emergency medical service from subjects of private medical activities.

2. Non-paid emergency medical service is provided to persons in case of the diseases, accidents, injuries, poisonings and other conditions requiring urgent medical intervention.

3. Subjects of private medical activities are the private medical organizations and physical persons performing private medical activities.

4. Non-paid emergency medical service is provided in the following forms:

- urgent - in case of sudden sharp diseases, conditions of exacerbation of the chronic diseases posing threat of life of the patient;

- the ambulance - in case of sudden sharp diseases, conditions of exacerbation of chronic diseases without strong indications of threat of life of the patient.

5. Emergency medical service in out-patient conditions appears the workers of subjects of private medical activities providing medical care in out-patient conditions.

6. When rendering emergency medical service medical evacuation is in case of need performed.

7. In the presence of medical indications patients go from department of emergency medical service of subjects of private medical activities to profile departments of the public medical institutions.

8. The subjects of private medical activities responsible for rendering free medical care to persons needing emergency medical service shall comply with procedure and conditions and to provide its timeliness.

9. Physical persons and legal entities bear responsibility according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan for violation of this procedure.

10. Disputes over rendering free medical care from subjects of private medical activities are permited to persons needing emergency medical service by Service of the state supervision of health care and social protection of the population or judicially.
