About procedure for carrying out geological studying of subsoil plots for the purposes which are not connected with mining

Based on Item 6 of article 46 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on subsoil, Item 9 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of June 20, 2013 No. 503, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:

1. Approve the Instruction about procedure for carrying out geological studying of subsoil plots for the purposes which are not connected with mining it (is applied).

2. Declare invalid the resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus of December 31, 2008 No. 130 "About approval of the Instruction about procedure for carrying out geological studying of subsoil plots for the purposes which are not connected with mining".

3. This resolution becomes effective after its official publication.

The instruction about procedure for carrying out geological studying of subsoil plots for the purposes which are not connected with mining

1. This Instruction establishes procedure for carrying out geological studying of subsoil plots for the purposes which are not connected with mining (further - subsoil plots).

2. Geological studying of subsoil plots is carried out based on the project documentation on geological studying of subsoil which passed the state geological examination of the project documentation on geological studying of subsoil according to the procedure, the established Regulations on procedure for conducting the state geological examination of the project documentation on geological studying of subsoil approved by the resolution of Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of May 4, 2010 No. 667.

3. Geological studying of subsoil plots is performed on the basis of earlier obtained geological information on subsoil plots containing in survey cards, cards of the actual material, tectonic cards (schemes), structural cards on the horizons and layers, geological or seismogeological cuts and in other sources of geological information taking into account studying of experience and uses of subsoil plots, geological conditions, located in similar to the studied subsoil plot, are more whole.

4. Taking into account geological features, study of subsoil plots and the purposes of their further use geological studying of subsoil plots provides work:

mountain and (or) boring;

hydrogeological;

engineering-geological;

geoecological;

geophysical;

on sampling of rocks and underground waters, carrying out measurements;

cameral.

5. In case of geological studying of subsoil plots studying of their geological features and characteristics is carried out, including:

geological structure, hydrogeological, mining, engineering-geological features;

physicomechanical and filtrational properties of rocks;

chemical composition and properties of underground waters.

6. In case of geological studying of subsoil plots in which underground spaces placement of objects of storage of hydrocarbons, objects of storage and waste disposal is planned studying of their geological features and characteristics according to Item 5 of this Instruction, and also studying is carried out:

information on seismic danger of the area;

availability of tectonic violations of crust, concentration of tension in the massif;

jointings of rocks, and also contents in rocks of components which can enter chemical reactions with hydrocarbons, waste or products of their interaction and (or) decomposition and to make harmful effects on the environment, to create explosive and (or) fire-dangerous situation;

availability within the subsoil plot of other resources of the subsoil suitable for industrial or other economic use.

7. In case of geological studying of subsoil plots in which porous layers placement of objects of storage of hydrocarbons, objects of storage and waste disposal is planned studying of their geological features and characteristics according to Items 5 and 6 of this Instruction, and also studying is carried out:

lithologic and mineralogical composition of rocks of the subsoil plot, capacity of the porous layer capable to contain hydrocarbons or waste (further - the containing layer), and capacity of the rocks spreading and blocking the containing layer;

boundary conditions of the containing layer;

sizes of intra reservoir pressure of the containing layer and pressure of hydraulic gap of rocks;

the most admissible size of mountain pressure and possible water inflow;

reception capability of the containing layer and its dependence on the size of pressure and time of pumping hydrocarbons or planned to storage and waste disposal;

chemical composition and aggressive properties of the hydrocarbons planned to storage or storage and waste disposal.

8. In case of geological studying of subsoil plots in which saliferous thicknesses artificial creation of cavity of subsoil for placement of objects of storage of hydrocarbons, objects of storage and waste disposal is planned studying of their geological features and characteristics according to Items 5 and 6 of this Instruction, and also studying is carried out:

lithologic and mineralogical structure and capacity of the saliferous thicknesses and rocks spreading and blocking saliferous thickness;

availability in geological section over saliferous thicknesses of impervious layers of the rocks capable to provide hermeticity of artificially created cavity of subsoil, their lithologic structure and capacity;

lithologic and mineralogical structure, quantity and capacity insoluble and easily soluble in water and brines of pro-layers of rocks of saliferous thicknesses;

the most admissible size of mountain pressure and possible water inflow;

possibilities of placement in saliferous thicknesses of artificially created cavity of subsoil of the set form and amount, determination of the minimum depth of laying of its roof.
