About enhancement of structure and organization of activities of the Uzbek agency of standardization, metrology and certification

In pursuance of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 9, 2003 No. UP-3358 "About Enhancement of System of Republican State Bodies" and for the purpose of further enhancement of system of standardization, metrology and certification of products and services, ensuring its compliance to the modern international standards and requirements, and also increases in competitiveness of domestic production on the basis of use of the international standards Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. Determine the main objectives of the Uzstandart Agency:

ensuring practical implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About standardization", "About metrology", "About certification of products and services", "About assessment of conformity" and other regulatory legal acts in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation";

implementation of single state policy in the field of standardization, metrology, certification, accreditation, improvement of quality and product competitiveness on the basis of application of international standards, including on quality management system;

ensuring functioning and development of systems of standardization, unity of measurements, certifications, accreditations and distribution of scientific and technical information in these areas, and also their harmonizations with the international, interstate and national systems of foreign countries;

implementation of measures for providing the rights of consumers on observance of requirements to safety and product quality, works, services and protection against negative consequences of doubtful results of measurements;

the organization of works on preparation and advanced training of personnel in the field of standardization, metrology of certification and accreditation;

creation, functioning and development of national accreditation system;

ensuring objectivity and impartiality in case of decision making about accreditation of legal entities.

2. Approve:

Regulations on the Uzbek agency of standardization, metrology and certification according to appendix No. 3;

structure of Research institution of standardization, metrology and certification according to appendix No. 6.

3. Ceased to be valid according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 24.04.2019 No. 348

5. Make changes to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of October 3, 2002 No. 342 "About measures for enhancement of system of standardization, metrology and certification of products and services" (the joint venture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2002, No. 10, the Art. 56) according to appendix No. 8.

6. To impose control over the implementation of this resolution on the Deputy prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sultanov U. T.
