About the Main directions of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2020
According to article 7 of the Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union of May 29, 2014 and Procedure Item 5 the Eurasian Economic Union of the international cooperation approved by the Decision of the Supreme Euroasian economic council of December 23, 2014 №99, the Supreme Euroasian economic council decided:
Approve the enclosed Main directions of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2020.

In these Main directions key vectors and practical priorities of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union (further - the Union) for 2020 are determined.
The document is prepared based on offers of state members of the Eurasian Economic Union (further - state members), including initiatives of their presidency in bodies of the Union, and also taking into account conclusions of the report on realization of the Main directions of the international activities of the Eurasian Economic Union for 2018.
According to the Declaration on further development of integration processes within the Eurasian Economic Union of December 6, 2018 realization of these Main directions shall provide forming of the Union as one of the most significant centers of development of the modern world open for mutually beneficial and equal cooperation both between state members, and with foreign partners, and building of new formats of interaction, including in idea development of "integration of integration" and Big Eurasian partnership which components are projects implementation through interface of development of the Union and the Chinese initiative "One belt - one way", and also deepening of interaction with key regional economic associations and the largest national economies of Eurasia.
Successful realization of the purposes and tasks of the international activities of the Union will be promoted by involvement of state members in world architecture of the economic relations, including by expansion of geography and export volumes, embedding of subjects of managing of state members in the international production chains, creations of new cooperation bonds, attraction of foreign investments and technologies for the purpose of economic development of state members.
When implementing of the international activities by the Union in 2020 the following directions will be priority:
deepening of cooperation with the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States;
building of the system dialogue providing forward and mutually advantageous adjustment of cooperation with the European Union (EU), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the forum "Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation" (APEC), other key regional economic associations and the largest national economies of Eurasia;
development of cooperation with the third countries, regional integration associations and the international organizations with which interaction is of mutual economic interest, including by the conclusion of preferential and not preferential agreements, and also memorandums;
expansion of presence of exporters of state members in the markets of the third countries in which goods and services of state members are insufficiently provided.
In 2020 the main efforts of the Union in the field of the international activities will be concentrated on development of already created cooperation mechanisms:
with the international organizations:
the organizations of the United Nations system (UN), including with the regional commissions - the Economic Commission for Europe of the UN (UNECE), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean Region (EKLAK), UN specialized agencies - the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations on industrial development (YuNIDO), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as body of the United Nations General Assembly and other organizations for the purpose of realization of provisions of memorandums and joint statements on cooperation;
The World Trade Organization (WTO) by means of participation in work of working bodies of the WTO, working groups and regular committees, in procedures of the dispute resolution of the WTO for the measures which are within the competence of the Union, first of all on measures of protection of the domestic market of the Union according to separation of national and supranational competence within the Union and also by means of further work on receipt of the status of the observer by the Union in separate bodies of the WTO within competence of the Union according to decisions of Council of the Eurasian economic commission;
World Customs Organization (WCO) by means of participation within competence of the Union of activities of her workers and managing bodies, of the events held by WCO and also within dialogue about full-size participation of the Union in work of this organization with assistance of state members;
The international shopping center for the purpose of realization of basic provisions of the Program of cooperation between the Eurasian economic commission and the International shopping center for 2019 - 2020;
International Organization For Migration (MEGOHM) according to the Memorandum of cooperation between the Eurasian economic commission and International Organization For Migration of April 12, 2013 by means of holding joint actions and expert consultations with the purpose of development of offers on permission of specific problem aspects in the field of migration, to development of regulating documents and studying of the best practices of legal regulation of processes of labor migration, and also exchange of information and analytical materials;
The World Health Organization of animal (MEB) within implementation of the Memorandum of understanding between the Eurasian economic commission and the World Health Organization of animals of January 10, 2014 and the pilot program of actions for its realization for 2018 - 2020;
