About the digital signature

Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of use of the digital signature.

Article 2. Legislation on the digital signature

The legislation on the digital signature consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.

If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about the digital signature then are applied rules of the international treaty.

Article 3. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:

the digital signature - the signature in the electronic document received as a result of special transformations of information of the furnished electronic document with use of the closed clue of the digital signature and allowing to establish by means of open key of the digital signature lack of misstatement of information in the electronic document and to identify the owner of the closed key of the digital signature;

the closed key of the digital signature - the sequence of symbols received with use of means of the digital signature known only to the signing person and intended for creation of the digital signature in the electronic document;

open key of the digital signature - the sequence of symbols received with use of means of the digital signature, corresponding to the closed key of the digital signature available to any user of information system and intended for confirmation of authenticity of the digital signature in the electronic document;

confirmation of authenticity of the digital signature - positive result of check of accessory of the digital signature to the owner of the closed key of the digital signature and lack of misstatements of information in the electronic document;
