About development of cooperation in the field of tourism
The government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
for the purpose of creating favorable conditions for tourism development and the best acquaintance with cultural life of the population of the states of the Parties,
being guided by regulations of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of culture, science and technology, education, health care, information, sport and tourism of March 19, 1993, the fundamental principles of the Uzbek-Russian relations underlain in the Contract on strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation of June 16, 2004
in view of important role of tourism in economic, social and cultural progress of the states of the Parties,
aiming to reach effective cooperation in the field of tourism on bilateral basis,
agreed as follows:
The parties promote cooperation increase in the field of tourism for the purpose of acquaintance of citizens of the state of one Party with achievements in the field of science, economy, social development, culture, with the nature and sights, and also historical monuments and cultural traditions of the people of the state of other Party.
The parties promote promotion of such joint tourist routes and brands as "Great Silk way" and others, by the organization of the international conferences, forums, seminars, exhibitions, publications in mass media.
The parties cooperate in the following directions:
holding advertizing campaigns in mass media in the states of the Parties;
holding different actions for tourism development;
participation in the tourist fairs and exhibitions held in the territories of the states of the Parties;
the organization of mutual study tours for representatives of the tourist organizations and mass media of the states of the Parties;
support of cooperation of the Parties in investment attraction to the sphere of tourism;
assistance in training and the organization of training for representatives of the tourist industry by experience exchange by specialists of the interested organizations of the states of the Parties;
exchange of information and work experience in the field of tourism, including creation of tourist complexes and recreational zones, and also information on privileges in the field of the investments provided according to the legislation of the states of the Parties;
distribution within the legislation of the states of the Parties of tourist editions and other materials, in particular, audio and video records advertizing the tourist capacity of the states of the Parties.
The parties will consider the possibility of distribution of information, advertizing and distributing materials about the tourist and cultural and historical capacity of the Republic of Uzbekistan through national tourist offices of the Russian Federation in the third countries.
The parties according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the states take measures for protection of the rights and legitimate interests, and also for safety of tourists of the states of the Parties which are in the territory of the state of other Party, including measure for their evacuation in case of emergency situations.
Any disputes and disagreements arising in connection with application or interpretation of provisions of this agreement are permitted between the Parties by consultations and negotiations.
The parties, in case of need, hold consultations and create the working groups on the questions connected with accomplishment of provisions of this agreement.
This agreement does not affect the rights and obligations of the Parties following from other international treaties which participants are their states.
The expenses connected with accomplishment of provisions of this agreement become covered by each Party according to the legislation of the states of the Parties within the available financial resources allocated for the respective sphere if in each case it is not otherwise agreed.
In the consent of the Parties, the changes which are drawn up by separate protocols and being integral part of this agreement can be made to this agreement.
The parties appoint the following competent authorities responsible for implementation of this agreement:
from the Uzbek Side - the State committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on tourism development;
from the Russian Side - Federal Tourism Agency.
This agreement becomes effective from signature date and is effective before the expiration of three months from the date of receipt of one of the Parties of the written notice of other Party of intention to stop its action.
It is made in the city of Moscow on April 5, 2017 in duplicate, everyone in the Uzbek and Russian languages, and both texts are equally authoritative.
