1. Approve the enclosed Rules of sale and the redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Recognize invalid:

1) the resolution of Board of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of August 24, 2012 No. 255 "About approval of Rules of sale and the redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (it is registered in the Register of state registration of regulatory legal acts at No. 7925, it is published on October 24, 2012 in the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper No. 366-367 (27185-27186);

2) the resolution of Board of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 19, 2015 No. 229 "About modification and amendments in the resolution of Board of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of August 24, 2012 No. 255 "About approval of Rules of sale and the redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (it is registered in the Register of state registration of regulatory legal acts at No. 12950, it is published on February 11, 2016 in information system of law of Ad_let).

3. To management on work with cash (Abisheva T. T.) in the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan to provide:

1) together with Legal department (Sarsenov N. V.) state registration of this resolution in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) within ten calendar days from the date of state registration of this resolution the direction it the copy in paper and electronic type in the Kazakh and Russian languages in the Republican state company on the right of economic maintaining "The republican center of legal information" for official publication and inclusion in Reference control bank of regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) placement of this resolution on official Internet resource of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan after its official publication;

4) within ten working days after state registration of this resolution submission to Legal department of data on execution of the actions provided by subitems 2), 3) of this Item and item 4 of this resolution.

4. To management on consumer protection of financial services and external communications (Terentyev A. L.) provide within ten calendar days after state registration of this resolution the direction it to the copy on official publication in periodic printing editions.

5. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the vice-chairman of National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Galiyeva D. T.

6. This resolution becomes effective after ten calendar days after day of its first official publication.

Rules of sale and redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. These rules of sale and the redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan of banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further – Rules) are developed according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (further – the Law on National Bank) and determine procedure for sale and the redemption by National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further – National Bank) banknotes and coins of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. Rules do not extend to the relations connected with carrying out transactions by National Bank on exchange of banknotes and circulating coins, exchange of shabby banknotes and the defective (damaged) coins, and also banknotes and coins, invalid legal means of payment.

Chapter 2. The basic concepts used in Rules

3. In Rules the following concepts are used:

1) circulating coins – the coins made of non-noble metals and intended for cash circulation;

2) banknotes and coins – bank notes of national currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the tenges which are legal means of payment in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) nominal cost – the cost of banknotes, coins at their nominal;

4) investment coins – the coins made of precious metals, which are investment object and accumulatings;

5) collection coins – the anniversary, commemorative and other coins of special chekan made by limited circulation both from precious, and from non-noble metals, the collectings which are object and accumulatings;

6) collection coins with components - the collection coins consisting of two and more parts which are separately made of different materials, and connected among themselves in single composition of one coin;
