On the basis lit.s) and f), the item (3), the item (4) the Art. 5, the item (2), Art. 6 and Art. 13 of the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4, 2016. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2016, No. 100-105, the Art. 190) for ensuring unity, legality and accuracy of measurements in areas of public interest in the territory of the Republic of Moldova PRIKAZYVAYU:

1. Approve General regulations of legislative metrology of RGML 12:2018 "National system of metrology. Metrological marking and certificates on checking", according to appendix.

2. Recognize invalid:

1) the Order of the Ministry of Economics No. 226 of December 31, 2013. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, No. 72-77, the Art. 375) about approval of the main regulations on legislative metrology of RGML 12:2013 "National system of metrology. Checking of legalized measuring instruments. Organization and procedure for carrying out";

2) the Second paragraph of Item 1 of the Order of the Ministry of Economics No. 114 of July 2, 2012. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2012, No. 237-241, the Art. 1377) about approval of the main regulations on legislative metrology of RGML 26:2012 "National system of metrology. Verification marks";

3) the Order of the Ministry of Economics No. 199 of November 26, 2014. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2014, No. 366-371, the Art. 1780) about approval of the changes made to general regulations on legislative metrology.

3. Publish this order in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova and on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

4. PU "National Institute of Metrology" post this order on the website and publish in the specialized magazine "Metrologie".

Regulations on legislative metrology of RGML 12:2018 "National system of metrology. Metrological marking and certificates on checking"

I. Scope

These regulations are developed according to the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4, 2016 with subsequent changes and establish the main requirements concerning methods of drawing metrological marking, procedure for production, storage, application and accounting of metrological brands, brands about recognition of results of checkings, stickers, seals of Super-Scut and concerning certificates on checking.

II. Terminology

Terms according to the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4 2016, with subsequent changes, and to the Order of the Government No. 1042 of September 13, 2016 about approval of the Official list of the gages and measurements which are subject to legislative metrological control with the following amendments are applied to the correct interpretation of these regulations:

marking about recognition of results of metrological checking: distinctive mark which, when drawing on measuring instrument and (if necessary) on technical documentation, certifies results of the checking which is carried out in other countries.

III. General provisions

1. Types of the metrological markings applied on measuring instruments, which are subject to legislative metrological control are the metrological markings provided by the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4 2016, with subsequent changes, the Order of the Government No. 1042 of September 13, 2016.

2. The national institute of metrology records metrological brands, and also stickers, seals of Super-Scut ordered by authorized legal entities on the basis of information provided by them by the notification.

3. The national institute of metrology records the number of forms of the certificates on checking ordered by authorized legal entities on the basis of information provided by them by the notification

IV. Requirements to metrological markings

4. Metrological marking is put with verificators of National institute of metrology according to Article 5, part 4 Item 2 a) of the Law on metrology No. 19 of March 4, 2016 and the legal entities authorized for carrying out checkings of the measuring instruments applied in areas of public interest.

5. Marking about recognition of results of metrological checking which was executed in other states is put with verificators of National institute of metrology according to the requirements established in regulating documents in the field of metrology. Marking about recognition of results of metrological checking is not put if at measuring instruments there is marking of SE and additional metrological marking.

6. The index of laboratory of National institute of metrology or the legal entities authorized for carrying out checkings of the measuring instruments applied in areas of public interest is designated by capital letter of the Latin alphabet (for example, And, In, With, etc.).

7. Two last figures of year of carrying out or recognition of results of checking are designated by the Arab figures.

8. The identification tag of the verificator is designated by capital or lowercase letter of the Latin, Slavic or Greek alphabet.

9. The index of quarter of carrying out checking is designated by the Roman figures (I, II, III, IV)

10. Metrological markings are put with the following methods:

1) cold branding drawing print on paint;

2) cold (or is hotter) branding using punch;

3) cold (or is hotter) branding by means of dies;

11. Marking about recognition of results of metrological checking which is executed in other states owed to contain the following information:

1) international code of the Republic of Moldova;

2) index of laboratory of National institute of metrology;

c) two last figures of year of recognition of results of checkings;

d) abbreviation of the word "recognition" - REC.

Graphical representation of marking about recognition of results of checkings is given in appendix to these regulations.

V. Requirements to metrological brands

12. Drawing metrological marking is performed by application of exclusively metrological brands.

13. Metrological brands which are intended for cold branding by drawing stamp on paint are produced from the materials established in the specification.
