About application of units of sizes in the Republic of Uzbekistan

For the purpose of ensuring further implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About metrology" the Cabinet of Ministers decides:

1. Take into consideration that according to article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About metrology":

in the Republic of Uzbekistan are in accordance with the established procedure allowed to application of unit of sizes of the International System of Units (SI);

the name of units of sizes, designation, rules of their writing and application affirm the Office the Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan of representation of the Uzstandart Agency;

By office the Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan application of units which are not included in the International System of Units can be allowed;

when implementing foreign trade activity in accordance with the terms of the contract also other units of sizes can be used.

2. Approve:

the name and designation of units of the sizes of the International System of Units (SI) applied in the Republic of Uzbekistan according to appendix No. 1;

the units of sizes allowed to application in the Republic of Uzbekistan which are not included in the International System of Units (SI), their name and designation according to appendix No. 2;

Rules of writing and application of units of sizes according to appendix No. 3.

3. Determine that:

in regulating documents in the field of technical regulation, in scientific and technical and other publications, including publications of mass media, educational, educational and methodical and reference books, units of sizes, their names and designation approved by this resolution are applied;

the units of sizes allowed to application in the Republic of Uzbekistan which are not included in the International System of Units (SI) are applied only in cases when quantitative values of sizes are impossible or inexpedient to be expressed in terms of the International System of Units (SI).

4. To the ministries and departments in two-month time to bring the regulatory legal acts adopted by them into accord with this resolution.

5. This resolution becomes effective after six months from the date of its official publication.

6. To impose control of execution of this resolution on the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - the chairman of the board of JSC Uzagrotekhsanoatholding N. S. Otazhonov and the CEO of the Uzstandart Agency A. U. Karimov.
