Article 1

Approve the Civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 2

The civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic becomes effective since June 1, 2000.

Article 3

Declare invalid the Civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic approved by the Law of the Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republic "About approval of the Civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic" of September 11, 1964 (Sheets of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijani SSR, 1964, No. 26, Article 121), from the date of entry into force of the Civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic.

Article 4

4.1. Repeal since June 1, 2000 the Laws of the Azerbaijani Soviet Socialist Republic on approval of decrees of Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Azerbaijani SSR on modification and the amendments in the Civil code of the Azerbaijan Republic accepted since 1964 (their corresponding parts) and also the Laws of the Azerbaijan Republic (their part) and other regulations specified in this Article:
