The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decides:

1. Approve Regulations on the Government representative for gender policy which are applied.

2. Make changes to some resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine which are attached.

3. To the Ministry of Finance to provide in case of modification of the Government budget of Ukraine for 2017 increase in assignments for content of employees of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine proceeding from the approved extreme number.

Regulations on the Government representative for gender policy

1. The government representative for gender policy (further - the Government representative) is the authorized Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the official to who function on the organization of implementation by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of powers in the field of providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society is assigned.

2. The government representative is appointed to position and dismissed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on representation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine. The candidate for position of the Government representative is submitted for consideration of the Prime Minister of Ukraine by the Vice-Prime Minister concerning the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

3. The government representative in the activities is guided by the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, presidential decrees of Ukraine, resolutions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted according to the Constitution and the laws of Ukraine, acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, international treaties of Ukraine and this Provision.

4. The main objectives of the Government representative are:

1) assistance to ensuring realization of the single state policy directed to achievement of the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society;

2) participation according to competence of coordination of work of the ministries, others central and local executive bodies on providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men;

3) carrying out monitoring on accounting by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of the principle of gender equality in case of adoption of regulatory legal acts;

4) participation in implementation by the Prime Minister of Ukraine representative offices of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the international meetings and forums, including with the Commission of the UN on the status of women, the UN Security Council at sessions with the agenda "Women, the world, safety", the Council of Europe, OSCE and so forth;

5) cooperation and interaction with civil society on questions on providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society.

5. The government representative according to the tasks assigned to him:

1) submits to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in coordination with the Vice-Prime Minister concerning the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine offers on ensuring effective realization of the state policy directed to achievement of the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society, enhancement of the mechanism of its realization;

2) promotes coordination of actions for implementation central and local executive bodies, local government bodies of recommendations of the international organizations for human rights and recommendations and notes of the international monitoring missions and the international organizations;

3) participates in:

to preparation of the state report on accomplishment in Ukraine Conventions of the UN on liquidation of all forms of discrimination against the women and other reports concerning condition of providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society;

to preparation and processing of drafts of acts of the legislation on the questions which are within its competence;

to development of state programs concerning gender equality;

carrying out monitoring and control of accomplishment of the National plan for accomplishment of the resolution of the UN Security Council 1325 "Women, the world, safety" for the period till 2020;

interaction with relevant organs of foreign states and the international organizations;

4) submits to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in coordination with the Vice-Prime Minister concerning the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine offers concerning inclusion in program documents of questions on providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society;

5) is provided by informing the public through mass media about providing the equal rights and opportunities of women and men in all spheres of life of society, and also about adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of decisions on the specified questions.

6. The government representative has the right:

1) to make inquiries in central and local executive bodies, other state bodies, local government bodies for the purpose of assistance to the solution of the questions which are within its competence;

To receive 2) in accordance with the established procedure from central and local executive bodies, other state bodies, local government bodies, the companies, organizations and the organizations information, documents and materials necessary for accomplishment of the tasks assigned to it;

3) to initiate formation of expert and working groups, involvement of representatives central and local executive bodies, local government bodies, public associations, and also scientists and experts, including foreign, to the solution of the questions which are within its competence;

4) to participate in meetings of boards of the ministries, others central and local executive bodies by consideration of the questions which are within its competence;

5) to convene meetings on the questions which are within its competence.

7. The government representative participates with the right of advisory vote in cabinet meetings of Ukraine by consideration of the questions which are within its competence.

8. Ensuring activities of the Government representative is performed by the office of the Government representative which is independent structural division of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

9. The government representative has the form with the name of the position.
