STATEMENT OF STATE MEMBERS OF THE COLLECTIVE SECURITY TREATY ORGANIZATION FOR RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT ON ADAPTATION OF THE TREATY ON CONVENTIONAL ARMED FORCES IN EUROPE

State members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, considering the adapted Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe as one of fundamental factors of safety and stability in Europe, do everything possible for the fastest realization of the political commitment assumed in 1999 in Istanbul - to quickly make efforts for assistance to completion of national ratification procedures of the Agreement on adaptation of the CFE.

State members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization hope for appendix by all State Parties of the CFE of similar efforts that will allow the Agreement and from now on to remain the important instrument of safety, stability and trust in Europe and will make possible joining to it of new members that will significantly strengthen architecture of the European safety.
